We are attempting to have the museum open on both Saturdays and Sundays from 2 to 5. COVID has created a shortage of docents forcing occasional weekend closings. Call the museum office at 482--4990 during the week for an update. Our archives will continue to be open on weekends.
Entering the Museum is like stepping back in time to visit a family in an original 19th Century Ypsilanti home. You can pretend to be their guests in the Informal Parlor, share the preparation of a meal with a wood stove, do the laundry without electricity, and imagine an overnight stay without indoor plumbing.
For the adventurous historian, visiting the Archives will be an opportunity to explore over 200 years of Ypsilanti heritage. Search and discover exciting facts about your family, home or business.
Museum admissions and archival services are free, donations are appreciated. Our Staff is happy to help and look forward to seeing you!
