With the museum decorated for the holidays, it is a treat to visit during the month of December. It is open from 2 to 5 until Thursday December 23rd (closed on Mondays).
The museum's Holiday Open House is Sunday December 12th from 2 to 5. With refreshments, it is a great time to meet new people and enjoy old friends.
Entering the Museum is like stepping back in time to visit a family in an original 19th Century Ypsilanti home. You can pretend to be their guests in the Informal Parlor, share the preparation of a meal with a wood stove, do the laundry without electricity, and imagine an overnight stay without indoor plumbing.
For the adventurous historian, visiting the Archives will be an opportunity to explore over 200 years of Ypsilanti heritage. Search and discover exciting facts about your family, home or business.
Museum admissions and archival services are free, donations are appreciated. Our Staff is happy to help and look forward to seeing you!
