Admission is free, and donations are appreciated.

The Museum is open Tuesday through Sunday from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Docents are available to guide visitors through the Museum.

gift shop

The Gift Shop is located in the basement Archives and features Ypsilanti history books and Ypsilanti memorabilia.

Entering the Museum is like stepping back in time to visit a family in an original 19th Century Ypsilanti home. You can pretend to be their guests in the Informal Parlor, share the preparation of a meal with a wood stove, do laundry without electricity, and imagine an overnight stay without indoor plumbing.

The Museum is in the historic part of the city, just north of downtown Ypsilanti.

There are two other museums within walking distance of the YHM, the Michigan Antique Fire Equipment Preservation Museum, and The Automotive Heritage Collection Museum.

The Yankee Air Force Museum is just a short drive away. You're certain to enjoy them all!
