In "My Live in Ypsilanti" by Genevieve Ward Williams, she warmly describes the early 1900's in Ypsilanti as seen through the eyes of a hard working black family. There is also a poem written by Mrs. Stadtmiller describing her childhood, and finally the order of 1865 and the way to increase the membership and efficiency of the Army.
